Help Breakheart Community thrive again

Have you ever walked your dog at Breakheart Community Project (Breakheart Quarry)? Cycled with your kids? Attended an event? Been fossil hunting? Taken your RC car for a spin? Or indeed attended one of their very own bike trials? If you have, please listen.

Several days ago the Breakheart ‘family’ were sucker punched in the gut upon realising the equipment securely stored on site - built up over a phenomenal 15 years of hard graft, gifts, donations, second hand purchases and grant funds - was all stolen. Nothing left.

Take a minute to feel that. So many hours of donated time and love that goes in to that space - for our community to use - squashed over night.

Breakheart Committee was just starting to feel like they were in a comfortable flow, with all the equipment necessary to maintain such a vast but needy space.

Stolen items included two quad bikes, one specially adapted trailer for their needs, chainsaws and tree felling equipment, hand tools and much more.

Added to this, due to the nature of the theft and the extensive damage caused to the main buildings these now require repairs.

Due to many pieces of equipment being donated items, personally purchased tools, purchased second hand items etc. the true value of these items will sadly not be gained back through insurance. Far from it.

Therefore we are raising money in aid of BREAKHEART COMMUNITY PROJECT LTD and every donation will help them get back to where they were. Every penny showing what this local community is truly capable of, after such a shattering action by a few.
