Fund Dancing Dream - Training in Germany

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my Fundraiser; this is unusual for me, but I guess I'm feeling the fear and doing it anyway!

I am a focused and passionate Sacred/Circle & traditional dance teacher based in beautiful Findhorn/Forres, Scotland. I believe in the holistic healing qualities of dance, as I was healed from an illness through the power of Dance & Movement.

When the Covid situation started, I did not want to stop dancing as it is my medicine! So I took a chance and founded "The Centrepiece" online Sacred Dance sessions, see the website below. This project allowed us all to keep dancing and connecting online. It has been going on for over two years now, providing free monthly sessions to dancers from around the globe. "The Centrepiece" also showcases presenters in their special sessions. It has been great fun and created many friendships, which I am eternally grateful for.

I am so passionate about Sacred/Circle & Traditional Dance, and your investment in me will help secure the future of this wonderful practice. I want to do more outreach with this work with the large repertoire of dances which I have already learnt from wonderful teachers both here in Findhorn and beyond.

Please help me to attend Friedel Kloke Eibl's further three-year training starting in March 2023.

Friedel was present in the Findhorn community during the early years when Bernhard Wosien started Sacred Dance and is a professional dance leader and dancer alongside her daughter Saskia, who I am also looking forward to meeting.

I have always wanted to dance with Friedel, and she is hosting her very last intensive training course this year, and I would love to be able to take part. Participating would give me a firm base to understand the Roots of Sacred Dance in my teaching method.

I would be deeply grateful to be able to dance with her before she retires from training sessions.

I have now completed the basic training thanks to all the wonderful people who helped (You can see info in updates on this page).

I now ask for help with the three-year training which is for flights and accommodation.

Due to being a committed dancer, I am on a low self-employed wage, and this will be my only chance to take part in this fantastic opportunity.

If my target is raised, I will share all my travel on social media with frequent video updates. The first course takes place in July (timetable below). I will also provide a free Zoom dance lesson at the end of my training as a celebration and to be able to meet some of the people who so generously helped me with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

I'd be amazed if I'm able to attend this course!
