Help Brandy Fix Her Home and Fight Cancer

My name is Brandy and last year was a crazy one. First, I started 2025 with a reverse shoulder replacement on my right arm, then 10 months later, I fractured my back bending over stringing a fence. A month after my back fractured, I had the same reverse replacement surgery on my left shoulder. Less than a week after that surgery, my leg started hurting so bad. The doctor said it was just a pulled muscle. About 4 days later, I stepped down a step and my femur snapped in two. While I was in the operation prep room, the surgeon came in and boldly announced I was dying and he wasn't touching my leg as I had cancer and this was it for me. I had an appointment that I was supposed to be at with my hematologist. While letting them know I wasn't going to make my appointment, I explained why and it turns out my hematologist was also an oncologist. He called the surgeon and explained my cancer to him. Turns out I have multiple myeloma, blood bone marrow, plasma cancer, and that's the reason for all my breaks. He told the surgeon that it couldn't spread anymore than it had and I couldn't be left laying there in pain. Two hours later, I was in surgery. Now, when I finally got to talk to the oncologist/hematologist, he explained that multiple myeloma is a 3-stage cancer and I was in stage 3 with a year to live without treatment. It took me a while to swallow that pill. Then I had to tell my kids, 3 girls aged 21, 20, and 9, and my son (also 9, boy-girl twins) that I had cancer, which meant I didn't know how long I had. It could be a year, it could be 5 with treatment.

Now the medical bills are piling up and doctors said I couldn't go back to work for risk of breaking more bones and I'm terminal. This leaves me with no insurance yet and no paycheck. I do not want to leave my children with debt trying to pay these bills and bury me because life insurance was through work.

I need to be able to fix this house up for them and me while I can. We have numerous broken windows, 9 I think, which let the cold air drafts blow right through. The foundation has shifted and needs to be leveled because the doors get stuck on the floor or won't close at all. The siding is rotting off and is in desperate need of replacing or fixing, which I'm not sure could be done. Honestly, I wonder if it would be better to get a mobile home and set it up on our plot of land. I am hoping some financial aid will come through for my chemo. I had 14 rounds and my insurance cut off. I haven't had a treatment (infusions in the stomach) or the chemo pills and steroids in over 6 weeks now. If you took the time to read my story, thank you. If you can help out, it would be a blessing. I do not have any form of income in 2 months. I have put in an application for disability, but I hear it takes a long time to get approved. I don't want to drown in debt with buying my meds that I take daily or trying to get this house more livable before it falls in.

Thank you
