My nephew Brandon is a 39-year-old manager at Bay City Recycling Center who has been fighting for his health every day. He is a hardworking husband, stepdad to three girls, and grandpa to six grandkids, and he always puts his family first. For the past three years, Brandon has been on dialysis four times a week and has been waiting for a donor on the kidney transplant list. Despite working hard to support his family, his health challenges have made it difficult to keep up with mounting medical and household expenses.

Before Brandon can receive a life-saving kidney transplant, his doctors have told him he must address serious dental issues. Years without dental care have left him in urgent need of a deep cleaning, a partial root canal, a tooth extraction, and multiple fillings. The transplant team explained that once Brandon starts immune suppressing medications, any infection in his mouth could become life-threatening, spreading quickly to his heart or brain. This makes the dental work not just important, but absolutely necessary for his survival.

Brandon’s family is doing everything they can to help, but the costs of these dental procedures are more than overwhelming as can barely cover the cost of living.
