Help Brandon and Chung Bring Clean Water to Those in Need

My name is Brandon Lam and I am excited to share an incredible opportunity that my father and I have to make a real difference in the lives of people in the Dominican Republic. We will be traveling with Living Water International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing clean and safe drinking water to communities in need. During our time there, we will be installing water pipes in trenches, working on distribution lines to bring water into households, installing a submersible pump, setting up solar panels, and building handwashing stations—all essential steps in ensuring clean water access for those who need it most.

Water is essential for survival, yet millions of people around the world do not have access to safe drinking water. According to the World Health Organization, over 2 billion people lack access to safely managed drinking water, and every day, more than 800 children under the age of five die from preventable diseases linked to unsafe water and poor sanitation. In many communities, families—especially women and children—must walk miles each day just to collect water that is often contaminated, putting their health at risk. By providing clean water, we are not just improving health conditions, but also giving people the opportunity for a better future.

To make this mission possible, I am working to raise $4,000 to cover the costs of travel, supplies, and resources needed to complete our work.
