In the season of gratitude I’m raising money for my cousin who is battling a devastating disease that is causing her to go blind at a young age.
The Bradfords, are a family of 5 in a small town in Minnesota just doing their best to live well but for the last five years Angela Bradford has been suffering with chronic illness that had severely impacted her life and made just getting by next to impossible.
These past five years have been a constant struggle with doctors misdiagnose, mis-medicate and almost killing Angela as she also suffers from lupus which is notoriously hard to diagnose.
Due to these complications and raising young children Angela has rendered a be a stay at home mom, but now her health is depleted so much that its difficult for her to even get up and send the kids to school or even make herself food or something to drink. Angela can’t drive anymore and even sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor drains her so much that she can’t move the next day. Working for her has become impossible, but Social Security keeps denying her case yet spending more than a few minutes outside can make her faint.
Angelas husband is the family’s sole financial provider because Angela can’t work but now she’s so sick that he has to miss work to care for her and the children. This has put severe financial strain on their family because without consistent income they have no safety net stopping them from losing everything. Until she can see a specialist for her lupus the disease will continue taking its toll unabated and they can only do the best they can. Unfortunately the toll is severe.
Angela suffered at least two strokes has swelling in her brain and behind her eyes, nerve damage and a traumatic brain injury as a result of all of this. For these reasons, she now has visual impairment, memory loss, painful migraines, and nerve pain along with a host of other symptoms. So we pray it doesn’t attack her more because she can’t get any medication for this condition until late December at the earliest.
I know God has a plan for their family and they have faith regardless of the circumstances.
If anyone is able to donate any amount to help them cover various bills and expenses that they are struggling with they would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for taking the time to read and considering helping support the Bradford family. God Bless.
