My name is Paul “BounceBaccSammy” Samsin, and just a few years ago, I was sleeping on the streets, unsure how I would make it through the next day. Today, I’m back on those same streets — but this time, I come with clippers, compassion, and a calling to give back.

I started the Bounce Bacc Foundation as a street-level charity that offers free haircuts, support, and encouragement to the homeless and underserved in Modesto, CA but also serve Oakland, Los Angeles, and other cities that showed me love when I Was homeless.

Every cut comes with a conversation, every conversation with a reminder: “Faith. Forgiveness. Fruition.” These three words are more than a motto — they are the path that helped me recover from years of homelessness, mental health struggles, and starting over time and time again.

At 33, I’ve lived a life filled with ups and downs. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder after years of manic highs and devastating lows, I’ve come to understand my purpose through healing and service. After stabilizing on medication and moving back home to reset my life, I realized I had a duty — to be the blessing I once needed, and to give bacc to the same streets that brought me in during my darkest times.

With your help, Bounce Bacc Foundation can:

• Continue to Provide free, clean haircuts to unhoused individuals

• Distribute hygiene kits, food, and clothing

• Host pop-up “charity cut” events in parks and shelters

• Expand our reach to more cities and vulnerable communities

• Eventually open a mobile barber unit to serve on the go
