Help Bonnie and Dan Adopt

We are raising money to fund our dream of becoming parents.

We met in graduate school when we were both getting our Masters in Education. Bonnie had seen Dan in class before, but only knew him as the shy quiet guy who always wore a UVA hat.  We quickly became friends and were spending most of our time together coming up with lessons for our students and just hanging out.

Since we had such a strong friendship, Bonnie was a bit hesitant about dating. But she eventually decided to give it a try. On our first date, Dan brought a tray of rice krispie treats. It was in that moment that she knew he was a keeper!

After dating for 3 years, we were married in 2008 and started trying to grow our family. We have been struggling with infertility for eight years. After many procedures, including four failed IVF, we recieved a diagnosis of unexplained infertility. We still desperately want to become parents, we just now realize that our path to parenthood is going to look different than we thought. After careful thought and consideration, we knew we still wanted to be parents.

We are excited to start this journey and cannot wait to welcome a child into our home!  We are excited to tell everyone that we started the process of adoption this Septemeber. These funds will help us pay for the expenses directly realted to adoption. This is something we have been wanting for a long time and we are excited and nervous and thankful to be so close to our dream. Your support means the world to us and we are truly blessed and thankful for your help.
