Help Boing! Survive Coronavirus

Boing! Softplay desperately needs your help to get through the uncertain times ahead due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Although lockdown restrictions have eased we are not out of the woods yet. We need your support to buy the essential equipment we need to safely re-open our Cafe and Softplay.

I am Carly and I am trying to raise money for Boing! I am a Lockleaze parent who has been using Boing! with my children for 6 years and more recently I started working here. I have seen the terrible impact Coronavirus has had on Boing! over the last 6 months.

I personally rely on Boing! as a cheap and fun place to take my children and would be devastated if that changed.

Boing! Soft play in Lockleaze is a small, not-for-profit community social enterprise. We provide an affordable, safe and supportive place for local families. Any profits we make are invested back into Boing!

Whilst this week we have been able to begin hosting private parties thinking about re-opening Boing! to the wider public is a little more challenging; we need to invest heavily in new equipment. We need a disinfection machine (state of the art machine that sanitises soft play equipment), laser thermometer, large door guard and stair gates to allow us to open doors and improve ventilation, an we need to create an online booking system. Whilst we are grateful that the Government furlough scheme has kept our staff protected throughout lock down there have been many additional costs and we have experienced significant losses. The next 12 months are going to be challenging for Boing! as a small non-profit soft play.

At Boing! we host birthday parties at weekends and use the income generated from these to provide the funding to subsidise our community cafe. Parties during lock down were either refunded or deferred and when we re-open for parties in September we will be able to host less parties (due to the increased cleaning demands and safety legislation). 

We will battle on but please if you love Boing! and enjoy using our service then help us raise money now, so that we can keep doing what we love doing for future generations! 

All money raised will go straight towards paying for the essential new products we need.
