Please Help Single Bocas Del Toro Moms Through Tough Times

We are Sharon & Ron Heinbaugh, and we invite you to join us in a mission to support the incredible single mothers of Bocas Del Toro, Panama. We live part-time in Bocas and over the past six years, we have witnessed firsthand the struggles these resilient women face during the off-season of tourism. For 5 to 6 months each year, they often find themselves without work, leaving them to make heartbreaking choices between paying for food, medicine, or utilities. Now, it is profoundly worse with the current road closures.

Many of their children attend school hungry, which severely impacts their development and learning. Their homes often lack basic sanitation and are in desperate need of repairs. With limited access to clean water, medicine, and care, these families face daily challenges that most of us can hardly imagine.

But, there is hope!

We aim to provide not just temporary relief but also sustainable solutions. With your generous support, we can:

**Launch Sustainable Businesses**: Working in tandem with local charities to help mothers update their kitchens to cater local favorites or provide start-up inventory for home-based stores.

**Create Job Opportunities**: Secure a community space where they can learn and practice essential business skills.

**Meet Urgent Needs**: Fund medicine, emergency dental care, and necessary home repairs.
