My name is Bobbie, and I am a solo parent to three wonderful kids—two of whom still live at home with me. My children are the highlight of my life, and I would do anything to give them the safe, stable home they deserve. Both of my younger kids have Autism, and my middle daughter also has a learning disability, while my son faces additional challenges with asthma and severe allergies.

Our home is in desperate need of repairs. The foundation is almost non-existent, the wiring is dangerous, the plumbing leaks, and the house is infested with termites and mold. I have managed to get a new roof and some new flooring in one bedroom, but the rest of the house remains unsafe. I am on disability and work two part-time jobs, but it’s never enough to cover the cost of these essential repairs. I have applied for help through local organizations, but was turned down, and the cost of repairs is far beyond my reach.

I am not someone who usually asks for help, but I am at a point where I have no other options. My health is declining, and I worry every day about what will happen to my kids if I can’t fix our home.
