Help Bob Secure Housing!

Help our unhoused neighbor Bob get housing!
Bob is 54 years old, from Myrtle Beach, SC. He came to New York City in 2017, and has been struggling with houselessness since living here. Through the pandemic, Bob has been left without support, staying in shelters when he can, although they are often very unsafe. Bob is an incredibly kind man, with a huge heart who has three children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
His caseworker has just him know that he's secured a studio apartment in Fort Greene, which is amazing! However, the NYC government is expecting him to cover the $1,300 first months payment until his government assistance kicks in, upon which he will be required to pay $220/month. This is completely unrealistic for people who have been houseless for over a year, and struggle to find employment. Please support Bob in not only his immediate deposit but also in helping him continue to thrive in this space!
We are hoping to raise money for his first month's deposit, continued medical expenses from a severe past injury, a TV & Wi-Fi, as well as stock his fridge.
Expense breakdown:
$1,300 First month's rent
$280 Television + Roku
$500 Food for April
$1,000 Fresh Bedding/Kitchen Appliances
$1,500 Medical Expenses (physical therapy)
$550 Spectrum Wifi (12 Months)
$2,640 Continued Rent ($220/month for 12 months)
