Bob and Judy Ewell have spent their lives caring for people and now they need a little bit of help. Bob has been battling Parkinson’s Disease for over 5 years and it’s starting to take a toll and was recently also diagnosed with dementia. Bob also suffered from severe anemia recently due to stomach ulcers which resulted in a hospitalization and three weeks in skilled rehab to regain some of strength back.
Judy has been doing an incredible job of being Bobs primary caregiver but after experiencing some unusual episodes and symptoms was also recently diagnosed with vascular dementia.
With the increased needs in care for both Bob and Judy, they no longer are safe at home so they are moving into assisted living. If you know anything about assisted living, it’s not inexpensive and there are significant costs associated with getting them set up with all of the services that are needed. We also expect costs to increase as both Bob and Judy continue to need more and more care and we would like to make sure they have a small cushion to draw on.
