We are Blue Horizon Racing. We're a team of high school students building a solar powered race car from scratch.

Last year, we built our first solar car, 'Solstice', and managed to drive it entirely on solar power. We were able to achieve a top speed of 45 miles per hour!

We were able to do this only because of the support we received from the community. It would have not been possible without the help and support you all gave us. Jazakallah khair, may Allah reward you.

We are now gearing up for the race season. Last year was a practice run for us to prepare our skills, this year is our race at Texas Motor Speedway. We're up against 50 other teams from different schools across the United States.

Our plan is to take apart our existing car and build a new one from the ground up. But to make a car capable of safely racing is a huge undertaking. We need support to sustain this adventure.

The project consists of 3 phases:

Fundraise (Our whole team pushing outreach and sponsorships as far as we can, so we can cover the expenses of our project)

Design (Where we design our car and systems in industry standard softwares [Solidworks, Altium], and then conduct advanced testing in a virtual environment with math simulations [Ansys, Star CCM+, Open FOAM])

Build (Self explanatory. Our team comes together to bring everything to reality)

As you can see, its huge. We're a non profit muslim team, the first Muslim team to do this in America, but without supporters we cannot move forward at all.
