Blind Burners is a UK-based Community Interest Company (registered in England and Wales, company number 14180280)

The company exists to serve the needs of blind and low vision people, particularly artists and those interested in working in the arts.

For the past four years, we have created 3D-printed tabletop-sized tactile models of large-scale artworks, including those at the Burning Man festival. These tabletop models will make these artworks more accessible to visually impaired audiences, who can touch and feel the overall structure and fine details that would otherwise be out of reach and may be hard to describe in words.

In years past, we have relied on trial versions of the software (Rhinosorus 3D) we need to prepare artists' designs for 3D printing. Now, it has become clear that we need to purchase a commercial license of the software to continue using it for future projects. This is a perpetual license that we can use for many years to come.

Any amount raised beyond the cost of the software will be used to purchase 3D printer filament and cover required shipping costs.
