Blessings on Ball Street is an inclusive non-profit community pantry and garden serving the community of Webb City, Missouri, and neighboring towns. Our mission is to provide food, toiletries, educational books, and essential resources to individuals and families in need while promoting dignity, compassion, and hope within our community. We provide these services to all without discrimination regardless of background, belief, identity, or circumstance. What started as a blessings box to aid those experiencing need in the area has quickly become a true community pantry in addition to the blessings boxes. We currently serve more than 150 individuals and families experiencing food insecurity and economic hardship.
Because the need in our community has been exponentially greater than anticipated, we struggle to keep up. Currently, the organization is being funded solely by myself, with a few sporadic donations from my family members and individuals in the community.
I am not a wealthy person. My family lives off my income alone, which does not provide enough financial resources to facilitate the demand. Immediate help is required to be able to continue providing aid. I am in the process of securing partnerships with larger local food distribution organizations. We have created an official nonprofit organization through the state of Missouri and are in the process of obtaining 501c3 status with the IRS.
As we work to secure the partnerships and resources necessary for long-term sustainability, we are hoping to raise enough money to be able to continue providing essentials to those in need in our community.
All donations will be utilized to purchase, store, refrigerate, and distribute food, water, essential toiletries, household items, winter necessities, and books and educational materials.
