Help Black Woman Fight Homelessness
Donation protected
Rajean is a 25 year old Black woman who is escaping a domestic violence situation and as a result experiencing homelessness. We met Rajean after she spent a couple of nights outside of the taco shop after being dropped off there with nowhere to go and no transportation. She left her abusive ex boyfriend about a week ago and has no natural supports in the San Diego area and no place to stay. Rajean and I have been working together to find more community resources but due to a charge on her record that occurred as a result of the abuse she has been rejected from many programs. Currently Rajean is staying in a woman's homeless shelter in SD but deserves a place for herself to grow and heal and prepare herself to return to her mother in Texas in three months. Funds would assist Rajean with: rent for an Airbnb for 3 months, money to purchase a used car, and transportation back to Texas. We are hoping to gain the funds ASAP so that Rajean no longer has to stay in the shelter. Your assistance would be directly benefitting a Black woman in need. Please share if you are not able to donate, Rajean is not worried about her ex locating her through social media.
