Help My fiance Billy Fight Rare Cancer
Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
My name is Kaitlyn, and I am writing with a heavy heart about my fiance, William Clifton “Billy”
Braxton. Together, Billy and I have built a home filled with love and laughter, raising our four
beautiful children. He is the center of our family, a devoted father, and the strongest man I know.
Now, he is facing the fight of his life.
Billy has been diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT), a rare and
aggressive cancer confirmed by the EWSR1::WT1 fusion. This disease has already spread
throughout his body, causing severe symptoms and rapid decline. On Friday, December 19,
2025, Billy will be admitted to the Abramson Cancer Center in Philadelphia to begin urgent
treatment.
While Billy’s courage inspires us every day, the financial burden is overwhelming. His employer
does not provide FMLA protections, and although disability benefits are pending, they will not
cover the full cost of medical care, travel, and the daily needs of our children. As his partner, I
am doing everything I can to keep our home stable and filled with love, but we cannot do this
alone.
We are asking for your support to help cover:
- Medical expenses and treatments not fully covered by insurance
- Travel and lodging costs for care at Abramson Cancer Center
- Household expenses to keep our children secure during Billy’s fight
- Emergency needs for our family as we adjust to this difficult journey
