Hi, my name is Bill. I recently married my beautiful wife Ashley, and together we care for my three children as a family. Earlier this year, Ashley was arrested and falsely accused of two crimes she didn’t commit. The bail was set extremely high, and she was required to wear a GPS monitor upon her release. Believing in her innocence, I did everything I could to raise the money for her bail and the GPS fees. Ashley was released, but within ten days, her GPS monitor malfunctioned. Despite charging it multiple times that day, the court claimed she violated her release and arrested her again. The judge raised her bail even higher, and I had to sell many of my tools to get her out, along with paying for a new GPS monitor. We spent everything we had, and the expenses kept piling up.

When Ashley’s public defender offered a plea deal of years in prison and parole, we knew we needed a good lawyer. We found someone we trusted, but it was another major expense. Thankfully, after investigating, our lawyer proved Ashley’s innocence and all charges were dropped. However, we received no refunds and lost everything in the process. Now, my family and I are living in a homeless shelter, but at least we’re together. With Christmas just two weeks away, I’m doing everything I can to get us into a new home, but with three storage units and daily expenses, I simply don’t have the money to make it happen. I don’t want my kids to wake up in a shelter on Christmas morning.
