In the early morning hours of June 29, our family experienced the unimaginable. Our uncle, Bill Murray, and our grandmother, Martha Jo, lost their home in a devastating fire. Thankfully, Bill, Martha Jo, and their two beloved dogs, Cutter and Griffin, all made it out safely. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone escaped without injury, they lost nearly everything they owned, including their home, belongings, and vehicle.

Many know Bill as a longtime Wilmington news anchor who has dedicated his career to serving our community. Beyond his work, he is also the devoted caregiver to our grandmother, Martha Jo. Together, they are now facing the overwhelming task of starting over. As their nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, we created this fundraiser to help ease the burden during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward temporary housing, replacing everyday essentials, transportation, and other immediate needs as they begin rebuilding their lives.
