Help Bill and Family Stay in Their Home

Due to an unforeseen severe complication from my surgery on May 13, 2025 and a random re evaluation on my husband’s Disability after 20yrs we are asking for help to not have to move this month. I went in on 5/13/25 for a non routine surgery to correct Gastroparesis. After 72hrs I developed an infection at the surgical incision and had to have the lower part of the incision opened back up and left open to heal from the inside out which requires unpacking and packing the golf ball sized opening 3x’s a day. Cultures revealed I have a Staph infection. I was discharged after 9 days in the hospital. While in the hospital, we found out that after 20yrs my husband’s Disability was randomly chosen for a re evaluation to make sure he still qualifies and they stopped his payments immediately so he did not get his payment for May and he will not get a payment until his paperwork is processed and he goes through the approval process which lord knows how long that will take. As if that didn’t throw us deep enough into a jam, the day after I was discharged my husband was in a car accident less than 1/2 miles from our home. Some punk kid on his phone not paying attention pulled right out in front of Bill and totaled the front passenger side of our car leaving it unable to drive. We thought Bill was fine until the next day. His hand is severely bruised and his entire outer knee cap in swollen and he is walking with a limp. The kid’s insurance company states they will not move forward with the claim, not even a rental for us until he calls and says he was involved in an accident.
