It is with immense sadness that we share that Andrew has passed away.

He was surrounded by people who loved him, and while there are no words that can make this loss any easier, we are grateful that he was not alone.

The funds raised through this GoFundMe will continue to be used towards giving Andrew the send-off he deserves and supporting his family through the difficult days ahead.

We wanted to share a heartbreaking update on Andrew.

On Monday, Andrew was moved to palliative care. He is still currently with us and has now been transferred to Barnsley Hospice, meaning he is much closer to home and surrounded by those who love him most.

As the family face the incredibly difficult days ahead, the money raised through this fundraiser will now help towards giving Andrew the send-off he deserves, albeit far earlier than any of us would ever have wanted or imagined.

I just wanted to give you all an update.

Yesterday 10.08, Emma and the family had their world shattered again when they were given the news that it is looking unlikely that Andrew will survive his brain injury. It is not currently time for them to say goodbye, but they are trying to make as many memories as possible.

The hospital have said that he's lucky to have made it this far and that he is fighting like mad, but with the MRI and EEG results its looking that the outcome is not going to be the one we hoped for.

If the worst does happen, monies raised will be used to help towards funeral costs. Please share & donate where you can.

I'm Adele and I've set this up for Emma & Andrew with Emma's permission. Tegan wished to set it up but is not old enough but these are the words she helped write.

On Sunday 2nd August 2026, Andrew called his wife, Emma, to let her know he was having mechanical problems with his motorcycle and was going to pull over to wait for recovery. Emma and their eldest daughter Tegan, set off to meet him, completely unaware that just minutes after the call Andrew had been involved in a devastating motorcycle collision.

Andrew was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary (LGI), where he remains in a critical condition with multiple life-threatening injuries, including severe injuries to his head, neck, chest, and arm. His road to recovery will be long and uncertain.

First and foremost, Andrew is a devoted family man. His world revolves around his wife, Emma, and their two daughters, Tegan and baby Erin, who is about to turn eight months old. He is also an incredible stepdad to Emma's boys, loving and caring for them as if they were his own. His family means everything to him, and they are now facing the unimaginable as they wait by his bedside.

Anyone who knows Andrew knows he is the first person to help others. He would never ask for help himself. Just last week, he proudly took part in a funeral escort for a little boy who loved motorcycles, showing the kindness, compassion, and selflessness that define who he is.

This family has already endured more than most. Since October, they have faced unimaginable challenges, with three out of four children members being critically ill before Christmas. Now they are once again living every family's worst nightmare.

Emma is currently on maternity leave, making it even harder to manage the unexpected costs of staying close to Andrew at LGI. Alongside travel, accommodation, food, and everyday expenses, the financial pressure is mounting. Both Emma and Andrew have dedicated their lives to helping others through their work as an Ambulance Practitioner and a Traffic Officer, as well as supporting people in their personal lives and community.

We are asking for your support to help ease some of the financial burden so Emma and the family can remain close to Andrew during this critical time. Every donation, no matter how small, will help cover the costs of staying near the hospital and allow them to spend as much precious time with him as possible without the added worry of finances.

Andrew has spent his life putting others first. Now, when he and his family need it most, we hope we can come together and show them the same kindness and support he has always shown to others.
