Beyond Balloons is one of the longest running businesses in the community of Tonyrefail, recently celebrating 20 years providing us with their services.

Unfortunately, in that time they have been vandalised 16 times in a number of different ways. They have had to spend over £36,000 in security measures and replacing windows, doors etc.

Lynn, Sian, and Dai are important members of the community. During lockdown, the newspaper deliveries came with extra orders of birthday cards or whatever else they were able to provide for the vulnerable members of the area. They are always first to offer to provide a link between different parts of the community and to provide a smile and a chat while you pop in for sweets, papers, gifts or your birthday balloon display.

Tonyrefail has understandably been incredibly disappointed with this continuing targeting of such a stand out local business. Community members have asked if they can donate to a GoFundMe, so here it is. If you are able to donate to the fund to help, please do so here.

The money will go via the Chamber of Trade towards a new, more secure frontage for the Beyond Balloons building, with smaller panels made of polycarbonate which should be much less vulnerable to vandalism.
