Hi, my name is Diane, and I’m reaching out with the most difficult request I’ve ever had to make.
My mom, Beth, has had brain and lung cancer for the last almost 10 years. She’s undergone endless rounds of treatment, surgeries, and pain, and through it all, she’s remained one of the most selfless, loving, and hopeful people I’ve ever known.
Now, doctors have told us that she only has a few months left to live. Her cancer is no longer treatable, and her body is tired. While we try to accept this heartbreaking reality, we’re also facing another painful truth: my mom doesn’t have the money to support herself through these final months.
She can’t work. She has no savings left. And the bills don’t stop just because you’re dying.
This woman—my mother—has spent her entire life helping others. She’s the kind of person who would drop everything to help a friend, cook a meal for someone going through a hard time, or send a kind note to a stranger just to brighten their day.
Even while she is sick, she continues showing up for people. That’s who she is.
Now, she needs help.
My sister and I are doing everything we can to support her—but we can’t do this alone. That’s why I’ve created this GoFundMe. To ask for help in making my mom’s last months a little easier, a little more peaceful, and a lot less stressful.
Your donation will go directly toward:
- Rent and utilities, so she can stay in her home
- Groceries and basic living expenses
- Medications and supplies to manage her pain
- End-of-life care and arrangements
Anything you can give—whether it’s $5 or simply sharing this campaign—will make an enormous difference. My mom deserves dignity, peace, and comfort in her final days. She’s been my rock, my best friend, and my hero. She’s given everything to the world. Now, I just want the world to give a little something back to her.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, supporting, and helping us carry this unbearable weight. Your kindness means more than words can say.
With love, hope, & gratitude,
Beth, Diane, & Shelby
