Hi! My name is Beth and I have a son named Lucas. We are in a dire situation currently. The apartments where we live is evicting us. Our financial need is emergent to pay what we owe to stay in our apartment. We have lived in our current apartment since 2018. I am a single parent. I am disabled and have been wheelchair and walker bound since 2020. I have lymphoedema, COPD, and a few other health issues. I do receive SSI disability but it nowhere near covers all of my bills currently. The rent has increased so much, as well as power bill, and as we all know that groceries have gotten sky high. I understand that times have been hard for everyone and I wouldn't be asking anyone for anything if it wasn't a matter of my son and I becoming homeless. I don't want to put down the apartment complex name that I live in because of how deceitful they have been towards me and many other tenants but I am truly asking for any help that y'all can provide. I am trying to raise anything possible because every dollar will help. I have set my limit at $5000.00 bc that's what it will take to keep a roof over our head. I don't want my son to have to be moved out of our home at all but especially during the school year and I don't want us to have to be separated. My son has high blood pressure, a bad liver, perthes disease in his hip, and has to attend 4 different doctors appointments monthly in Birmingham so that's very pricey too. Especially not having a car and having to pay for someone to take him, it puts more of a strain on me.
