My name is Anie Ann Baglioni, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my nephew’s wife, Bernadette Wagas Emborgo. She is 31 years old, a loving wife, and a devoted mother of two children, ages 7 and 5.

With deep sadness, we share that Bernadette has passed away after her brave and faith-filled battle with leukemia. She faced every challenge with strength and grace, and her light touched everyone who knew her. This GoFundMe, originally created to support her treatment, will now continue to help her family settle her remaining hospital balance and bring closure to her medical journey with peace and dignity.

Bernadette’s final hospital bill amounted to ₱583,114.00 (≈ $10,050 USD). Through the kindness of others, a Congressman and Mayor generously donated ₱200,000.00, and the DSWD Cagayan de Oro contributed ₱150,000.00, leaving a remaining balance of ₱233,114.00 (≈ $4,020 USD) still to be paid. 

Every prayer, share, and donation has helped her family face this difficult time with hope and gratitude. Your continued support will directly go toward clearing this remaining balance and ensuring her final expenses are settled honorably.

Bernadette has a beautiful spirit and a gift for music — she serves as a psalmist in their church, where she sings and plays both the guitar and keyboard. Her voice and music have inspired and comforted many, filling her family, friends, and faith community with hope and joy.

What makes Bernadette’s story especially powerful is that she has been living with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) since she was just 13 years old. For the past 17 years, she has fought with incredible strength, enduring treatments and hospitalizations while still dreaming of and building a life filled with love, faith, and music.

Recently, her condition has worsened. She has been in and out of the hospital with complications including pneumonia, liver fibrosis with ascites, and recurrent infections. Her latest hospital bill has already reached ₱245,000 ($4,300 USD), and she faces the ongoing need for costly medications such as Nilotinib and Eltrombopag, which alone can cost ₱150,000–₱200,000 ($2,700–$3,600 USD) per month.

Bernadette’s family is doing everything they can, but the financial strain is simply too heavy to carry alone. Our goal is to raise ₱2,000,000 ($35,000 USD) to help cover her hospital bills, life-saving medications, and continued treatments so she can keep fighting for her life and for her family.

Bernadette dreams of watching her children grow, guiding them through life, and continuing to serve in church with her music. With your generosity, prayers, and support, we can help give her more time to do just that.
