Benton County Canine Shelter is in urgent need of a fenced play yard. Currently, the dogs don’t have a fenced grass area to enjoy time off leash while out of their kennels. A new play yard will change everything! It will give the dogs a safe area to run, play, and relax, especially when the pavement is too hot for walks. Volunteers with limited mobility will finally have a way to participate and help out at the shelter, making our community even stronger. The yard will also provide a welcoming space for potential adopters and their dogs to meet the shelter dogs off leash, helping more pups find their forever homes.
Your support will help us build this much-needed play yard. Every donation brings us closer to creating a safe, enriching environment for the shelter dogs, staff, and the volunteers who care for them.
After reaching out to several local fencing companies, we decided to partner with Frontier Fence Inc out of Pasco, Washington to complete this project. The total estimated cost quoted was $8,785.60 for material, labor & taxes included to Frontier. We volunteers rounded it to $9,000 for the GoFundMe credit/debit card charging fees & platform fee they charge. If it is more then this we volunteers will cover the rest of GoFundMe’s charges. Any funds raised above our goal will go directly to Benton County Canine Shelter for spay and neuter costs, helping even more dogs in need.
Please consider donating and sharing our fundraiser to help make a difference for these wonderful pups!
