Please Help My Sister Rebuild Her Life After Abuse, Abandonment, and Heartbreak
Hi, my name is Sam, and this is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write.
My little sister, Bella, is one of the bravest people I’ve ever known. Together, we escaped an abusive, controlling cult (Word of Faith Fellowship) that we were born and raised in. A place that tried to break us, keep us silent, and make us believe we could never survive in the real world. We lost all communication and have been without parents, family, and friends.
But Bella did survive. She fought harder than anyone I know to build a new life—to be free.
Not long after we escaped, she met someone she thought she could trust. He made promises. He made her feel safe. They planned on building a life together. Than she very unexpectedly found out she was pregnant at 19 years old. However, just 15 weeks into her pregnancy—he left her alone. Bella, again, fought to continue to build her new life. After going through pregnancy on her own, Bella gave birth to an incredible baby boy - Beckham. Since his birth, Bella has worked full-time to provide for all of his needs. Bella is an amazing mom.
Bella has been raising Beckham on her own. Through it all, her work ethic and determination have been on full display. Bella hasn’t had parents to help watch Beckham, or even extended family. The only family that has been here to support her raising Beckham has been me. I have done everything I can to help her stay afloat. Every dollar I could spare went to making sure she had food, diapers, gas, and rent money. We’ve scraped by, but we’ve stayed free from that life we fought so hard to leave behind.
But now… we’ve found ourselves in a situation where we need help..
Bella has had to pay thousands in court fees to fight for child support and custody—just to protect her baby from a man who abandoned them both. Those costs emptied everything she had. As a result, Bella fell behind on her car payments—not because she was careless, but because every penny she had went toward her child’s food and care.
And yesterday… her car was towed.
Without her car, Bella can’t work. Without work, Bella can’t care for Beckham. Without income, everything that Bella has been working hard to build is at risk.
Because our family is still at Word of Faith Fellowship, and because we have been living on our own in Arizona, we have a limited support system. We are creating this GoFundMe in hopes that others might hear our story and help us find stability.
If you can spare anything—even the smallest gift—it will go directly to getting her car back, paying the towing and late fees, and giving her the chance to keep her job, stay independent, and raise her baby far away from the life we escaped.
If you can’t give, please share this. Every bit of help matters more than you can imagine.
Bella is a hardworker, an incredible mom, and she could use any help she can get to achieve stability for her and Beckham. After everything she has been through, I’m begging for just this one lifeline to keep her safe, working, and free.
Thank you for reading this. Thank you for caring.
