Help Beaumont Music Festival recover and keep the good times rolling!

Since 2008, Beaumont Music Festival has brought people together through a shared love of live music. Along the way, we’ve watched friends reunite, families dance together, and audiences discover their next favourite artist.

Behind it all is a volunteer team that has poured countless hours into making those moments possible. We are a not-for-profit, 100% volunteer-managed and volunteer-staffed festival, built by people who care deeply about music and this community.

Today, we’re asking for your help for us to recover and move forward!

•An exceptionally difficult year•

For 2026, we planned to move the festival indoors to lower costs and reduce weather risks, with initial enthusiastic support from the City of Beaumont. After months of planning, and financial commitments signed, the venue's occupancy limits originally presented were changed without explanation. This made the indoor plan unworkable.
Our volunteer team had to move the festival back outdoors, creating more work and expense while we honoured existing contracts. The disruption also delayed promotion and left patrons uncertain and hesitant.

On June 19, we welcomed music lovers for our opening day. On June 20, incredibly high volumes of rain (50-100+ mm) and forecast high winds created safety concerns for our guests, artists, volunteers, and production crews. Following Production World's professional recommendation, we made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the second day. The grounds subsequently experienced extensive flooding, as did Beaumont, Edmonton and the surrounding area. This confirmed it was the right call.

Losing our largest festival day, combined with lower ticket sales, additional infrastructure expenses, and weather-related costs, the 2026 BMF was left with a deficit of just under $107,000. The costs of putting on the event remained, even though the music could not continue.

At this point in time, a two day outdoor festival is not planned for 2027, which brings the question...

•What now?•

We are raising funds to help pay outstanding obligations from the 2026 festival, including commitments to performers, production providers, and suppliers whose work made the 2026 event possible.

The City of Beaumont has advanced the 2027 budgeted grant of $30,000, bringing our outstanding financial obligations from the 2026 BMF to $77,000. This GoFundMe campaign is part of our effort to pay out the balance: taking responsibility, asking our music & patron community for support, and doing everything we can to meet our commitments.

In addition to donating to this GoFundMe, you will be able to support us at small musical fundraising events throughout 2027!

We are making plans with local businesses and groups for these BMF evenings to happen. This way, you and your family & friends can keep having fun with us while you are helping us recover! Watch our socials for announcements.

•Let's move forward together & keep the music alive!•

If the Beaumont Music Festival/Beaumont Blues has given you a favourite memory, introduced you to an artist you love, or brought you closer to friends and family, please consider donating towards our ‘good times’ future!

Sharing this campaign with someone who loves live music is an additional, meaningful, way to support us!

To everyone who has attended, volunteered, performed, sponsored, or cheered us on over the years: thank you. You are part of the story of this festival, and we are grateful for every moment we’ve shared, and are looking forward to good time ahead!
