Hi, my name is Beatriz Contreras, and I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. Recently, my home was lost in a fire. In a matter of moments, everything I had my safe place, my memories, the things that made my house a home are gone. I’m incredibly grateful that we survived, but the loss has been overwhelming.

This home wasn’t just a building. It was where we spent holidays, made everyday memories, and felt safe at the end of the day. The fire destroyed not only the house itself, but most of my belongings, including clothing, furniture, personal items, and irreplaceable keepsakes. Right now, I’m trying to start over from scratch. The funds raised will help with immediate needs like temporary housing, clothing, food, and basic necessities, as well as longer-term costs such as replacing household items and rebuilding my life.
