Help Bea’s Family Move to a Safe Home

Hi, my name is Toad, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister Bea and her five beautiful children, ages 4, 8, 9, 13, and 14.

Bea’s family has been struggling for years in Florida, living in a small trailer that’s falling apart, literally leaning to one side, and infested with insects. It’s so cramped that two of the older kids have to share a room, while the younger ones sleep in the living room. The conditions are not just uncomfortable, they’re unsafe.

On top of the housing struggles, Bea’s children face significant behavioral and emotional challenges. With two children on the spectrum and one with an intellectual disability. Bea has done everything she can to support her children, but the local schools offer little to no resources for families like hers.

Because of the constant care her children need, Bea is unable to work outside the home. Every day is a balancing act of managing meltdowns, school meetings, and basic survival. Her husband works hard, seven days a week, to try and provide, but with only one income and rising costs, it’s never enough. Even with food stamps, they often run out of groceries halfway through the month.

I moved to Florida to try and help, but I haven’t been able to find steady work myself. Still, I’m determined to do something to help this family that means everything to me. Bea is not just my sister, she’s been like a mother to me, and we are the only family we have left.

We’re trying to raise enough funds to move Bea and her kids to Minnesota, where there are better schools, more support services, and a real chance for them to rebuild their lives. The money will go directly toward moving expenses and securing safe, stable housing. Bea’s husband is ready and willing to work once they arrive, he just needs a chance to do it in a place where they can finally breathe again.
