Help Bayleah thrive during this difficult time

Donation protected
UPDATE!
My incredibly generous and kind friend Kasi will now have Bayleah living with her and her son in Connecticut. It will take a while for her to get on health insurance and there are other expenses including continued therapy. I know Kasi wouldn’t ask for this so I am going to ask for her. If you have the ability to help out, it would be greatly appreciated:)

Thank you to everybody who has donated already. Let’s all help Bayleah have a better year:) ❤️

I am writing this with a very heavy heart and hoping that our communities can come together to help reduce some of the stress from a tragic loss that took place last week.

Q

On July 7th while Shayla was on her way to pick up Bayleah from Idaho for the summer Shayla was in a car accident where she and Bayleah’s little step brother were killed. To say this is devastating would be an understatement. Everyone is still reeling from this terrible tragedy. Such a hopeful future cut way too short and Bayleah is left trying to make sense of the magnitude of this loss.

Once Kasi got the news Saturday July 8th she jumped into gear to make sure Bayleah felt supported.  She bought her a flight to come to CT so Bayleah would be able to just decompress for a few weeks. During this time Kasi is making sure Bayleah gets clothes, school supplies, reestablish her in therapy with her previous therapist in CT, as well as other appointments to get her up to date on care that is needed.  She has also planned many activities that will give Bayleah the opportunity to just be a kid for the next two weeks.  Kasi plans to keep Bayleah in thearpy for as long as she needs and is hopeful no matter where Bayleah goes she will be able to attend therapy either by zoom or in person. Anyone who knows Kasi knows she is not one to ask for help, but it is a lot for just one person to take on especially when they weren’t planning on it. I would love us to come together and help Kasi cover the cost of therapy as well as other necessary appointments.

Everyone is very unsure of what the future holds, but what we know is the best chance of Bayleah not just surviving this loss but thriving as she grows is to give her a strong foundation to lean on over the next year so no matter what happens she has her needs met and feels loved and supported not just by Kasi but by the communities she has been part of.

Thank you for your time and we appreciate any help at all:)
