This fundraiser is meant to support a dear loved one to sustain herself while she enters into a residential treatment program for a serious eating disorder.

Trans people are at incredibly high rates of acquiring eating disorders and on top of this, eating disorder treatment for working class and poor people in California is disturbingly hard to access. Many people on state insurance face dangerous consequences by the time they are finally approved via absurd county bureaucracies to get appropriate care. Finding trans-affirming programs is a whole different feat, particularly for trans women.

After many months of waiting, our loved one is finally is able to access treatment but needs financial help to land back on her feet on the other side. She can’t work while she’s in treatment, so your donations will go towards immediate and upcoming expenses, including rent, food, bills, and treatment program co-pays. We are aiming to cover three months of her expenses and clear immediate outstanding costs while she is in treatment (residential and outpatient) so when she is home she can rest, heal and stabilize.

This fundraiser is anonymous for privacy reasons. It’s difficult to raise money anonymously, so any and all circulating is deeply appreciated. We are trying to raise $8k which will cover her residential co-pay for one month, outpatient co-pays for two months, three months rent, and three months of food/medication/transportation costs that are not otherwise subsidized.
