Help Baha AlQishawi Escape Gaza and Rebuild a Life

Dear Compassionate Contributors and Fellow Human Beings,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Khalil Dahbour, a Canadian citizen residing in Ottawa, and I am reaching out to seek your support for a dear friend, Baha Taleb Ahmad Al-Qishawi, who is currently facing dire circumstances in Gaza and urgently needs assistance.

Baha and I share a history that traces back to our childhood in Kuwait, where we grew up together. Unfortunately, the Gulf War forced Baha to leave Kuwait, leading to eight challenging years in Iraq before his return to Gaza in 2000. Since then, Baha's life has been marked by continuous struggles, challenges, and sorrow.

At present, Baha finds himself trapped at the Rafah border, unable to move forward due to financial constraints. He is in desperate need of funds to cover border fees, travel accommodations, and relocation charges. Baha is accompanied by his family—two daughters (aged 15 and 12 years old), his wife, his ailing mother with heart disease, two sisters, and his brother.

The ongoing war struggles have left Baha unable to provide for his family's basic needs, with his daughters' education at a standstill, posing a growing concern for their future.

Escaping the perils of war, their future is uncertain, and the weight of their predicament is compounded by shortages in medicine, proper shelter, and adequate food. In these challenging times, they are seeking support to navigate these hardships.

I am reaching out to your generosity to help fund Baha, enabling him to escape Gaza and start a new life outside his homeland. Your support will provide Baha and his family with the chance for a brighter future and alleviate their immediate struggles.

Contributions received will be dedicated to covering travel expenses, relocation costs, housing, and necessities as the family transitions toward a new beginning. No donation is too small, and each contribution will make a significant difference in reshaping their lives.

To secure the safety of 8 individuals in Baha's family, including two children, we are raising 80,000 CAD, which equates to approximately 10,000 CAD per person.
