Help Background Actors on Strike

Some of the most vulnerable people affected by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes are background actors. Most scenes in movies and television shows wouldn't look realistic without background actors. The LA Union BG Awards is setting up a fund to help union background actors financially by collecting tax-deductible donations and redistributing them as grants to Los Angeles background actors in need. Please help background actors get through the strike until we get a fair contract.

Recipients will receive grants on a first come, first served basis. All recipients must show proof of employment as a background actor and proof of SAG-AFTRA membership.

We honor the people in Los Angeles who work full-time as union background actors, stand-ins and photo doubles. We also honor those who work closely with background actors, such as CDs and ADs. The Los Angeles Union Background Actors Awards is not affiliated with SAG-AFTRA nor the SAG Awards.
