Every family has a story, welcome to the Monteiro’s, it’s not been an easy time for this new little family. 

Let's start from the beginning. In 2018 Elise met her now husband Kenny when on Holiday. Elise has traveled back and forth to the island to visit him and their relationship grew- they fell in love. The couple fell pregnant with their little girl and were Married on the 3rd of August 2019.

They applied for a Visa for Kenny to be present for his daughters birth but it was refused on the basis that they didn’t think he was a genuine visitor. Elise gave birth to their beautiful little daughter Story Isabella Monteiro on the 13th of January without her husband by her side. Just after the birth the couple were preparing an application for a Spouse Visa, and then to their horror the world was hit by a global pandemic COVID 19. This meant that borders were closed, countries went in to lockdown and visa centres were closed.
Story is now 6 months old and her only communication with her Daddy is via poor connection on FaceTime.

This family has been coping with the financial strain of Visa applications, legal fees, and cancelled appointments as well as huge emotional strain with being kept apart for all this time.

Now that borders are open, they are able to travel for Story to finally be in the arms of her Papa. But with flight prices being so high they are unable to make this happen.

We are looking to fundraise to help Elise get Story to her father. Kenny & Elise will celebrate their first wedding anniversary the 3rd of august apart. This whole situation is truly heartbreaking for this family and they are all suffering.

Just imagine missing your baby take their first breath? First touch? First smile? As aparent, as a human we should all be able to experience this. Unfortunately this Family has not been lucky enough to share these things. 

We are looking for the wonderful humans of the world to help reunite this family and bring a father and daughter together for the first time.
