Hello, friends.
Last week (last week of March 2021), baby Savannah (5 weeks old) was taken to the Emergency room here in Enid for constipation. The ER doctor took an x-ray, and the x-ray showed something unexpected.... Savannah's bones are too dense. This is a very rare disorder called Infantile Osteopetrosis. Bones are supposed to have a small amount of flex, but when they grow too hard & dense it is like a tree branch that can't bend in the wind. Think of how kids run, jump and climb... and now think of that branch. Yeah, not good.
Savannah needs genetic testing to see what type of Osteopetrisos she has (there are 3 types). Then she will most likely need a bone marrow transplant to give her body the healthy blood cells & marrow she needs. It is super important that treatment can be done as soon as possible. Moving quickly will give Savannah the best possible chance to live a happy & healthy life.
Because of how rare this disorder is, the Wyant's will most likely need to travel in order to get Savannah to the best doctors who have dealt with this particular illness. That means, travel expenses, lengthy hospital stays, and Zach being away from work. These days and weeks are not just going to take an emotional toll, but a very physical & financial one as well.
This is obviously very scary for the Wyant family as they learn more about Savannah's illness. There are still a lot of questions that they simply do not have answers to - yet. Please, be patient and considerate as they navigate this incredibly difficult process. Pray, give & help as you can.
Zach & Danielle are two of the kindest and most humble people I've met. I have been honored to call them my dear friends for about 3 years now. Our kids are best buddies and we have shared many amazing memories with this sweet family. They are the kind of people who will do anything for you & never expect anything in return - if you know Zach & Danielle like I do, you know how true that is.
And now they need us to be there & support them like they have done for so many of us.

If you could please give to support the Wyant family, I know any amount you could give would be a generous gift to them. ♡
