Help baby "Rowdy" and his family

Friends and family, we are asking for your help and support to raise money for our dear friend Katie-Jo and her little family. Here is their story:

On Sep. 30th she had a regular OB appointment and her blood pressure was running high. The previous week at her biophysical profile, baby "Rowdy" was in the bottom 3rd percentile for size for his gestational age, and those results combined with her just having covid a few weeks ago meant she was at very high risk for pre-eclampsia. They admitted her to run more tests, most of which came back with less than ideal results. While all of his movements and heart rate looked good on the ultrasound, he had dropped into the bottom 1st percentile for growth. Her blood pressure remained high, and her urine tests came back frighteningly high for proteins, leading them to an official diagnosis of pre-eclampsia. She was transferred to a different hospital with a more advanced NICU that was better equipped to deliver a baby that small. The goal was to keep him in there until 34 weeks, and at that point it would be safer for both her and the baby if he's on the outside. She received steroid shots to help his lungs develop faster in case he came even earlier than they were expecting, which he did. Just a week after transferring her (just shy of 31 weeks) her test results were steadily getting worse and the baby had been non-reactive on the monitor for the last few days. They decided it was time to do an emergency C-section. On October 8th, baby "Rowdy" was brought into this world weighing only 2 lbs, 9oz. Both mommy and baby are healthy but obviously being that small he will be in the NICU for quite some time.

Since the baby came so early they weren't yet prepared for his arrival and obviously weren't expecting to have such a small baby. We are asking for your help to raise money to cover their hospital bills and premie baby supplies, as Mommy will be out of work for awhile. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated, and would mean so much to this family. Thank you!
