Help baby Kenzie get home
Amanda and Ken Patenaude of Ponoka Alberta welcomed baby Kenzie to the world on August 10/2021. Unfortunately she was born with 2 holes in her heart, and struggles to breath. She is facing surgery to repair her heart, but it looks like she will be having a lengthy stay in Edmonton. We are reaching out to friends, family , and Ponoka locals to help support baby Kenzie , mom and dad . We are asking for donations to help with cost of traval and expenses. Ronald Mc Donald house is booked for next 3 months in Edmonton. Every little bit helps with gas, parking, lodging, care for 4 siblings, and dad who now has to take an extended leave from work for an unknown amount of time. Every little bit helps, Thank You

So Amanda Patenaude and I have been, well we have been struggling mentally with the emotions about what's happening with our little Kenzie, the support from family and our friends and now even complete strangers is overwhelming, we are not use to this, and just what's going to happen tomorrow? Most of you know about Kenzie's heart, which we got more clarity on today, she has might have a third hole and the main one is 4mm, she will more than likely need surgery to correct it but our sweet little one has a bit more going on and all we can hope is she is going to live a long, extremely happy life and shes going to be a very special and loved girl. Kenzie has been diagnosed with Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome) and the scariest thing is not knowing what's going to happen? What will tomorrow bring? But we do know she will be extremely loved by family, by mom and dad, and most importantly by her four amazing sisters. We dont want sadness, we have had enough to last a lifetime, we just want people to show her love and support wherever she goes. Our family is strapped in for the rollercoaster ride of our lives and there's no getting off. Thank you all who have been sending support in every way. We will be forever grateful for it.
