Baby Hohl is expected to arrive on April 6th 2020. However, instead of going home with mommy and daddy she will be moved to the nearby Children's Hospital for immediate open heart surgery.
Baby Hohl has been diagnosed with Truncus Arteriosus, a heart condition that effects 1 in 33,000 births. Truncus Arteriosus is a rare type of heart disease in which a single blood vessel (Truncus Arteriosus) comes out of the right and left ventricles, instead of the normal 2 vessels.
The only form of treatment requires open heart surgery within the first few days of her being born and while we don't yet know how many subsequent surgeries will follow, there will be at least one more to replace the conduit once her heart outgrows the initial one placed after birth.
This page has been opened to offer up a show of love and support in every form possible as there is no need for the new parents to have to worry about anything other than their little girl's health and recovery. The funds raised will be used to cover incurred medical and care expenses.
