Hello, my name is Murray Qualie. The last little over a week has been roller coaster ride both physically and emotionally for my Brother Glen, his wife Raelynn and their 5 year old daughter Ava.
On June 9th my brother Glen took his wife Raelynn to the Hospital in Humboldt,SK. She was having severe abdominal pains. After having tests done in the hospital they discovered that she was pregnant. This was a huge surprise for them.
Without knowing how far along she could possibly be and since she had high blood pressure she was taken by ambulance to Jim Patterson Children's Hospital in Saskatoon.
In Saskatoon she was given an ultrasound and it was discovered that Raelynn was 34 weeks pregnant and the baby's heart beat was not very strong. With the baby's heart beat being week and Raelynn's high blood pressure the Doctors decided to do an emergency c section
In the early morning of June 10th Alyza Linda Qualie was born 6 weeks premature.Directly after she was born she was taken to NICU with an enlarged heart, fluid in her lungs and malfunctioning kidneys. She was placed on Dialysis and a ventilator to help her breathe.
Raelynn is now out of the hospital but Alyza is still there fighting for her life. Both Raelynn and Glen have been making daily trips back and forth to the city splitting their time between their two beautiful daughters.
Glen has not been able to return to work, looking after his 5 year old Daughter while Raelynn recovers from the surgery and they make the many trips to the city.
I am starting this GoFundMe to help support my Brother and his Family in their time of need. The money is needed to help cover their bills, travel and meal expenses and accommodations during this tough time.
