Help Azariah's Young Parents Stay by Her Side

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kelly and I'm the grandmother of this beautiful little girl, Azariah. Her mom, who is 16 years old, went into labor at six months. During active labor, it was discovered that Azariah was breech, necessitating a C-section. Azariah was born on July 5th, weighing 1lb 5oz.

Soon after her birth, her dad (my son, age 17) and her mother found out she has bleeding. A few days later, they also discovered she has a infection. This required her to be transported to a hospital two hours away, as this hospital is the best in our state for her needs and the surgery she'll need down the road.

Unfortunately, it's going to be quite some time before she's able to have surgery, in fact, months, because of the infection in her body. Azariah is going to need a lot of medical care with teams working daily with her needs. With that being said, because of her needs and what her insurance might or might not cover, and the parents being two hours away from home and family with no funds and nowhere to stay, they are needing help with the needs of Azariah (maybe down the road) and then themselves also.

They have been in constant contact with social services at the hospital because they had nowhere to sleep, shower, etc., but also needed help with food. The social worker there at the hospital told them that the Ronald McDonald house is at full capacity and at minimum would be a week or weeks before something is open. The social worker also told them that there is another place they could stay free, which they contacted today and it's at capacity also and they don't know when they will have an opening. She (the social worker) also has given them the resource to get a hotel at a discounted price, and so what little money they had, they were able to get a hotel for two nights.

Remember, the parents are only 16 and 17 with no one able to be down there, away from home and family them and trying their hardest to figure everything out to the best of their ability. They have very, very little money left after having a few family members help out and they need to be there for Azariah, their daughter. Please, if there is anyone who can or is willing to donate so they have a place to stay, food and anything else they need for them and their baby, even if it's a dollar, it adds up. If you're unable to, we ask for prayers and to share this link so Azariah and her parents can get the help they need and be there for their daughter instead of having to constantly worry about where they can sleep or eat. Thank you in advance for any and all help, and any prayers and shares. ❤️
