Help Ayon get a Car!!!
Let’s help get Ayon a car and a fresh start!!!
Anyone living in Texas knows how difficult it is to get around without a vehicle. Especially when you’re a single mom with a small child!
We met Ayon and her son Princeton last year a few months into the pandemic and quarantining. I saw a post on The Black Fairy Godmother’s page on Instagram about her about to be homeless and needing a safe place for her and her baby boy.
I drove to Houston and scooped them up! It was wonderful having them here and after them staying with us a couple of months, the foundation was amazing enough to find them housing back in Houston closet to her friends and family.
Since last September, Ayon and Princeton have been living in an apartment in Houston. She has no mode of transportation for them. Uber and Lyft are how she gets to doctor’s appointments and job interviews, but those are expensive and not always on time.
I have a vehicle that she can have, but it needs a few thousand dollars worth of work that I cannot unfortunately afford to pay for. So many of my dear friends asked how they could help when Ayon and Princeton were living with us, but I said there would be something we would need help with down the road! Well, here’s your chance to help out!!!
Ayon has gotten her license, is in school, and just last month started a new job. She is such a hard worker and has big, big dreams I know she will reach. All of us at some point in our lives have needed the help or family or friends and sometimes even a stranger on the internet to get where we are today. I’m asking you to join with me and help these sweet loves of mine get closer to that future they’ve been working toward.
If you feel called to donate to Ayon and Princeton, please know she will appreciate every dime. She takes absolutely nothing for granted, and is willing to put in the work.
Let’s help her out so that she has even more of a leg up when it comes to chasing those dreams!!! We all need just a little community.
I’ve set the goal at $5000 because it would be amazing if we could get the car in good, working order and be able to pay a year’s worth of insurance for her so she doesn’t have to worry about that expense this year.
Anything leftover will go to her for whatever else she needs. Single mothers always need an emergency fund. Thank you for reading and for loving my people. I love you for that!
