On June 3, 2025, we lost our beloved brother Waseem to a preventable tragedy. What began as a routine check-up quickly escalated into complete liver failure—ultimately leading to Waseem’s untimely passing. Due to a critical misdiagnosis and a shortage of hospital beds, Waseem was denied the care that could have saved his life. In his memory, we remember the kind, selfless soul he was. At just 23, Waseem worked tirelessly to support his family and had already built a humble yet stable business. He leaves behind his wife and 11-month-old daughter, Ayat. Waseem lived in Pakistan, where an under-resourced healthcare system failed him and his family. In the aftermath of his passing, his wife now faces not only the emotional and financial burden of raising a child alone but also the cultural stigma often associated with widowhood.
