Title: Help Ayaan, Youngest England U17 Volleyball Player, Reach His Dreams!
The Journey
Hi, my name is Ayaan Syed, and I’m a 14-year-old volleyball player from Chelmsford, Essex.
What started as a fun hobby playing with my dad and sister in our back garden during lockdown has now become the proudest achievement of my life: I've been selected to play for the England Under-17 national team.
I'm a Setter (Playmaker) and I now have the incredible opportunity to represent my country on the international stage.
Over the past few years, volleyball has taught me so much about discipline, teamwork and improved my confidence as a person. I’ve worked tirelessly to achieve my goals and that hard work has finally paid off:
- U15 UKBT 2024 Beach Volleyball Champion
- East Region U15 Team: For the past 3 years
- National Tournament: Represented the Boswells Volleyball Club in U15, U16 and U18 age brackets
Being selected for England U17 is a dream come true. This October, I'll be heading to the NEVZA tournament in Denmark, which is a qualifier for the European Championships. It's the first step on a journey I hope will one day lead me to a volleyball scholarship in the USA.
What Your Support Will Fund
This 'dream come true' comes with a significant cost.
So far my family has already been covering a lot of the travel, food, and extra training (including 1:1 coaching), but this new level of commitment is more than we can manage alone. That’s why I’m reaching out for help.
Your support will directly fund the essential costs of this season:
- England training camp + NEVZA Denmark Tournament: £1,100
- England team kit & equipment: £110
- Inter-Regional Tournament & Travel: £200
- Cornnachia Italy Tournament with Boswells U16 & U18s squad: £775
- Volleyball fees £400
Total Goal: £2,585
Any extra funds raised will go to further training and also help fund my team at Boswells VC.
