This is Avin, my almost 3 year old nephew.  A couple of weeks ago he started having some abdominal pain, after multiple test, Avin was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma.  Avin is a bright, active and affectionate 3 year old who loves Dinosaurs.  As of yesterday he has had numerous procedures done along with a PICC line placed so that he could begin receiving chemotherapy today.  He will require frequent hospitalizations for the next 12 weeks as he receives intense chemotherapy. Our hearts are completely broken into a million pieces and although this isn't the best results the fight begins. In spite of all of this he will lose his hair which means you will be seeing a lot of family members with no hair within his family because he will not be doing any of this alone. In the upcoming weeks we are expecting to have some good and some bad days ahead of us but come out stronger after all of this. Little Avin means everything to all of us and I am hoping that you all can pitch in anyway you can. No family should have to endure a sick child and Cancer should not exist. But if I can do anything to alleviate their stresses whether it be by visiting,  by providing financial assistance or just lessening their worry about how their going to pay for anything they'll need for Avin then I would go to the far ends of the earth. Please consider helping them out!
