UPDATE: They have now hit just over the 2lbs mark!!!!
Both babies made their debut early!!! Both are just under 1 pound, lungs are good but other complications have arisen. They are still growing in the NICU in South Korea. Austin has to return to the states the first week of January costing $1500, and needing to buy another round trip ticket for March. Unfortunately the army does not help with these expenses. At this time everything helps and that is just travel expenses. Austin and Sage have a long road ahead of them and honestly they don’t know all the need yet. I’m trying to relieve at least some of the monetary stress from their plate, South Korea NICU hospital does not supply Day to Day needs such as diapers wipes etc.. making more expenses for mom and dad.
My son Austin and his fiancée Sage were blessed to learn they are expecting twins—a boy and a girl—while stationed in South Korea. Austin had returned to the States and was patiently awaiting Sage’s arrival. Unfortunately, unforeseen medical complications have arisen, putting Sage on total bed rest in the hospital. Baby boy is at risk, and baby girl may be as well. She is 5 and a half months along, and the situation is scary. We’ve raised enough money to fly Austin back to South Korea, but with the outcome uncertain, there are many additional expenses they need help with. Anything you can offer is greatly appreciated. And as times are hard for many right now, if you cannot donate, please keep them in your prayers.
