For as long as I can remember my sister, Debi, has wanted to be a mom. In 2020, Debi decided to begin the journey of trying to get pregnant on her own. In January of 2021, she miscarried by herself at home. It was an unbelievably emotional and traumatic weekend, that I could only be present via facetime from another state. Then shortly after this, (due to family issues) Debi's expenses ended up doubling. All while covid-19 ended up impacting her regular source of income. Despite this, she has continued to make ends meet and is continuing to try to get pregnant while also exploring fostering/adoption. I am so lucky that I have her in not only my life, but specifically my children's lives. She is an amazing auntie and not only the greatest sister, but my best friend. I cannot think of a more deserving, loving, and caring human to become a parent.
