Help Save Athena’s Life After Rat Poison Exposure
Hi, my name is Ashley, and I’m reaching out for help to save my sweet dog Athena’s life.
Last night, Athena was rushed to the emergency vet after getting into rat poison that was unknowingly delivered to our yard inside a package dropped off by an Amazon driver. She tore through the packaging before I could get to it, and by the time I realized what happened, she was already showing signs of poisoning.
She was hospitalized immediately and began suffering from neurological symptoms. The initial emergency care cost over $1,200, which I’ve already paid out of pocket. But her fight isn’t over.
The vets believe Athena still has a real chance at recovery — but she needs to stay hospitalized for at least another 24 to 48 hours to survive. The continued care, medications, and monitoring are estimated to cost an additional $3,100, and I just don’t have the funds left. With my kids heading back to school, I had already spent what I had saved on their supplies trying to keep Athena stable.
Athena means the world to our family. She’s more than a pet — she’s family, protector, and best friend, especially to my kids. If you are able to donate or even share this campaign, it would mean everything to us.
Please help us give Athena the fighting chance she deserves.
Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
