My name is Asmaa. I am part of a family of six who used to live a simple life in Gaza, despite all the challenges. My father suffers from kidney failure and needs constant care. My mother was our strength — the one who took care of him and managed our home with incredible patience and love.

But everything changed in a moment. My mother was killed in a bombing. In that one second, we lost not only our beloved mother, but also our home, our security, and the only source of support we had.

She was the pillar of our family — the only caregiver to our sick father and the heart of our home. Her death has left us completely broken. Today, we are without shelter, without income, and without the comfort of a mother’s arms in the middle of all this destruction.

Every day is a new struggle for survival. We try to stay strong, clinging to the small pieces of hope left in our hearts. We are still grieving, still trying to breathe under the weight of loss and fear. My father continues to suffer with his illness, and we are doing everything we can just to get through each day.

This campaign is not for personal gain. Every cent will go directly to supporting our family with basic needs like food, medical care, and shelter.

My name is Yousef Abushaban, a Canadian citizen and a close friend of Asmaa Asmaa, who is currently living in the Gaza Strip. I am organizing this fundraiser to support her and her family after the tragic loss of their mother and home. The funds raised will be used to cover essential needs such as food, medical care for her ill father, and temporary shelter. اسمي أسماء، وأنا من عائلة كانت مكونة من ستة أفراد، كنا نعيش حياة بسيطة رغم كل الصعوبات في غزة. والدي يعاني من الفشل الكلوي ويحتاج إلى رعاية يومية، وكانت والدتي هي الوحيدة التي ترعاه وتدير شؤون البيت بكل صبر ومحبة.

لكن في لحظة واحدة، تغير كل شيء. فقدنا والدتي الحنونة في قصف عنيف، واستشهدت، لترحل معها روح البيت وأمانه. فقدنا معها المأوى، والدخل، والسند الوحيد الذي كنا نعتمد عليه في هذا العالم القاسي.

كانت والدتي عماد البيت، وهي من كانت تتحمل مسؤولية العناية بوالدي المريض وتحمينا جميعًا. واليوم، بقينا بلا مأوى، بلا معيل، وبلا حضن أم يجمعنا من وسط هذا الركام والدمار.

نعيش كل يوم كأنه معركة جديدة، نحاول فيها أن نصمد رغم الألم، ونبحث عن الأمل في بقايا الحطام. لا زال والدي يصارع مرضه، ونحن نحاول النجاة والاستمرار وسط الظروف الصعبة.

هذه الحملة ليست لمصلحة شخصية، بل لدعم عائلتي في تأمين أبسط ضروريات الحياة من طعام وعلاج ومأوى.
